The Burberry x Highgrove Wide Check Cashmere Scarf is made from 100% cashmere and features Burberry's iconic House Check, reimagined in a seasonal bay green created exclusively for the fifth collection with Highgrove Gardens. The collection celebrates the British landscape through art and craft.

The bay green is drawn from an original watercolour by His Majesty King Charles III of Birkhall, his cherished Scottish home on the Balmoral estate. The painting's verdant tones run through every piece, from the outerwear linings and warmers to this scarf.

Made in Scotland at a mill founded in 1797, the design is woven on traditional looms and takes more than 30 steps to complete. The fabric is washed in local spring water and brushed with teasels, dried flowers drawn along the surface of the cashmere to raise the cloth, to create a natural lustre and ultra-soft finish. It is a time-honoured process that reflects a deep respect for traditional skills.

The rectangular scarf measures 200 x 52cm, a generous, enveloping width that can be wrapped close, knotted at the neck or worn loose over a coat. Fringing at both ends adds a traditional finish, and the softness of the brushed cashmere makes it a pleasure to wear close to the skin through the colder months.

It pairs naturally with the collection's Waterloo trench coat, car coat and quilted jacket, whose bay green check linings it echoes, and brings the same quiet colour to a plain winter coat. Worn on its own, the bay green check becomes a gentle statement, a reminder of the gardens and landscapes that inspired it.

With its Scottish craftsmanship and its link to the gardens at Highgrove, the scarf is a meaningful gift: a piece of British heritage, made with care to be treasured for years.

To keep the cashmere soft and lustrous for years to come, specialist dry clean only.
