Are you looking for something extra special? Our exclusive afternoon Private Tour of Highgrove Gardens for up to 8 guests. You can include up to 12 additional guests at £108 per person. Then enjoy Afternoon Tea after your tour. 

Your 1½-hour exclusive afternoon Private Tour will be led by one of our experienced guides. In addition to revealing the gardens’ history, organic management and sources of inspiration, they will explain the hidden curios and horticultural innovations behind them.

Highgrove is a place of peace and tranquillity, where The King's passion and imagination have been etched onto the Cotswold landscape. From the magnificent Wildflower Meadow to the enchanting setting of the Arboretum, the gardens embody His Majesty's gardening ideals and organic principles.

Dine in the Orchard Room Restaurant

After your Private Tour, indulge in a delicious afternoon tea in the elegant surroundings of the Orchard Room Restaurant. Presented on a traditional, tiered stand, refreshments include a selection of sandwiches, sweet treats, and freshly baked scones, as well as Highgrove tea or coffee.

Visit the Highgrove Shop at The Coronation Pavilion

Allow time to browse in the Highgrove Shop at The Coronation Pavilion during your visit, where you’ll find a selection of bespoke Highgrove products, including special edition artworks.

Inspired by the gardens, our collection includes a delicious range of Highgrove food and alcohol, homeware, and accessories, as well as other unique pieces exclusively designed for Highgrove.

Important Information

  • Private Garden Tours take place on selected dates between May and September 2025.
  • An exclusive Private Garden Tour with Afternoon Tea costs £550.00 for up to 8 guests. Additional guests may be included at a cost of £105.00 per person, up to a total of 20.
  • Private Garden Tours with Afternoon Tea only occur in the afternoon (PM). To book a morning tour, please book the Private Garden Tour (without food included).
  • Following your booking, a member of our Customer Services team will contact you to discuss any special requirements.
  • Highgrove is the private home of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla. All visitors must bring a form of photographic ID, ideally a passport, driving licence or bus pass.
  • Due to the landscape and nature of the Gardens, wheelchairs and mobility scooters should be well suited to rough, uneven ground, gravel, and rugged pathways. Some surfaces may also be slippery when wet. We suggest wearing sturdy shoes or wellington boots and suitable outdoor clothing, especially in wet weather.
  • If you have any disability access concerns, please contact our Customer Services team to discuss your requirements. Please email customerservices@highgrovegardens.com.
  • The use of mobile phones and cameras (including dash cam recording) is restricted to certain areas of the Estate which will be explained to you on entry. Binoculars and other forms of recording equipment are not allowed for security reasons.
  • Random bag checks may be carried out for security reasons.
  • Smoking, including vaping and the use of e-cigarettes, is not permitted anywhere at Highgrove.
  • Hospitality in the Orchard Room is available for visitors after their Private Garden Tour only. Please note that reservations are not required.
  • Vehicles with dogs will not be permitted entry (excludes pre-booked service dogs).
  • Please aim to arrive up to 30 minutes before your Private Garden Tour to allow time for security checks.
