A creative day out

During this hands-on workshop, Bex will guide you through the process of creating your own botanical decorations using real pressed leaves as templates. You’ll learn how to carefully shape and work the metal, capturing the intricate forms, textures and details found in nature.

Each leaf will become a unique, everlasting piece inspired by the natural world. Once complete, you can hang your handmade decorations on the Christmas tree or display them throughout the home, bringing a touch of nature and timeless elegance to the festive season.

No previous experience is required, making this workshop an enjoyable and accessible introduction to metal leaf-making, while also offering experienced makers the opportunity to explore a new creative technique.

About Bex

Bex Partridge is an artist, maker and founder of Botanical Tales, creating work inspired by the beauty and ever-changing rhythms of the natural world.

The seasons are at the heart of Bex’s practice. Drawn to the fleeting beauty of plants as they emerge, flourish, fade and transform, she works with natural materials to capture their ephemeral qualities, preserving their beauty long beyond the season in which they are found.

Her work has a distinctive magical and ethereal quality, combining delicate botanical forms, texture and a sense of wonder. Inspired by the wildness and beauty of the landscape around her, Bex creates pieces that feel both rooted in nature and slightly otherworldly, inviting us to slow down, look more closely and reconnect with the natural world.

  • Guests will not be admitted without a valid ticket.

  • Tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded, or replaced. Reselling, altering, or defacing a ticket will render it void.
  • Guests are required to bring photographic identification (i.e., a passport, driving license, or bus pass). Alternatively, a bank card or a utility bill.
  • The use of mobile phones and cameras is restricted to certain areas of the Estate, which will be explained to you on entry. Binoculars and other forms of recording equipment are not allowed for security reasons.
  • Smoking (including vaping) is not permitted anywhere on the Estate.
  • Please do not bring dogs onto the Estate (only assistance and guide dogs permitted).
