Commonly known as the snowdrop, Galanthus nivalis is a delicate, fragrant flower that brings the first sign of spring to the garden in late winter. Its graceful, nodding blooms feature six white, bell-shaped tepals, with the inner three delicately marked in green. Narrow, grey-green leaves complete its elegant appearance.

A sure sign that spring is on its way, Cyclamen ‘coum’ brings colour, form and fragrance to the Arboretum at Highgrove as early as February each year. These small rose-pink flowers, marked with purple and white at the mouth, create a carpet of colour and have rounded silvery-green leaves. This pack of two corms holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Narcissus 'February Gold' is commonly found in the Cottage Garden, front drive, and Meadow at Highgrove, with their bright yellow nodding heads brightening walkways. These bright and tiny flowers are excellent for giving early colour. For best results, they should be planted in large clumps. Additionally, they thrive in window boxes and pots. This 10-bulb pack has earned the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Allium 'siculum', also known as Sicilian honey garlic, is a hardy perennial with keeled basal leaves, nodding, long-stalked, bell-shaped blooms, and attractive, tall seed pods. The flowers have shades of cream, pink, and green. These RHS Plants for Pollinators-approved flowers bloom from June to July and can reach a height of 90cm.

One of the most eye-catching parts of the Kitchen Garden in early spring, Narcissus 'White Cheerfulness', can be found next to 'Yellow Cheerfulness' in the mixed borders that flank the main central path. Offering up to four fragrant flowers per stem, 'White Cheerfulness' is a bulbous perennial that grows up to 40cm in height, with strap-shaped leaves and clusters of fragrant, double-white flowers with cream and yellow segments in the centre.

Bring life to your garden next spring with the ‘Queen of Night’ tulips. Available in a pack of seven, these bulbs produce satin purple flowers on tall and strong stems. They are ideal for planting in groups in borders or cutting for use in the house. These bulbs can grow to approximately 60cm high and come in fully recyclable packaging.
Narcissus ‘Thalia’ is the star of the show in the Arboretum in spring with its multi-headed milk-white trumpets (producing up to four per stem). These are about 5cm across, with little cups and narrow, slightly twisted outer petals. Their strappy foliage must be left to die off for a good six weeks before being removed to allow the bulbs to continue to grow and avoid jeopardising their chance of flowering the following year.

Synonymous with Highgrove’s Wildflower Meadow, Camassia ‘leichtlinii Caerulea’ are firm favourites and deceptively easy to grow. They are bulbous perennials with upright racemes of star-shaped violet-blue or creamy-white flowers that bloom in the early summer with narrow, channelled leaves. They can thrive in a variety of soil types and enjoy both full sun and partial shade.

This pack of nine Allium 'Purple Sensation' bulbs produces purple flower heads with many star-like flowers on tall stems. The Fritillaria ‘meleagris’, which grows in the Wildflower Meadow at Highgrove, is also known as the Snake's Head Fritillary because it has a charming bell-shaped, chequered pattern flower with markings that resemble snakeskin. They can be naturalised in a woodland or meadow setting but prefer damp growing conditions.
