Highgrove X Burberry Birkhall Silk Scarf Sky Blue

It is a collection created by Burberry in partnership with Highgrove Gardens, celebrating the British landscape through art and craft. The fifth collection is inspired by His Majesty King Charles III's watercolour of Birkhall.

The Burberry x Highgrove Birkhall Silk Scarf is a 90cm square silk-twill scarf, printed with an original watercolour by His Majesty King Charles III. Created with Highgrove Gardens for the fifth Burberry x Highgrove collection, it brings together art, landscape and the skill of the silk printer.

At the centre of the scarf is His Majesty's watercolour of Birkhall, on the Balmoral estate, the painting at the heart of the entire collection. The square scarf is bordered by the House Check, refreshed in an exclusive bay green palette, framing the artwork much as a gallery would. The sky blue ground lifts the greens of the painting and the check, creating a light, fresh balance that works across the seasons, from a crisp spring morning to a winter evening.
The scarf is made in Italy from 100% silk twill, with all of the silk organically farmed. The fabric has a fine diagonal weave and a fluid drape. It is finished with hand-rolled edges, a traditional detail that gives a soft, rounded border, and printed Burberry lettering completes the design. The smooth surface of the twill carries the delicate washes of the watercolour, bringing the softness of the original painting to every fold.

At 90 x 90cm, it can be worn in many ways. Fold it into a triangle and tie it at the neck, knot it loosely over a coat collar, wear it in the hair or tie it to the handle of a bag. It sits naturally alongside the collection's outerwear and the Birkhall wool sweater, which share the same artwork. Together, they offer different ways to carry a small piece of the Scottish landscape through the seasons.
