Narcissus ‘Thalia’ is the star of the show in the Arboretum in spring with its multi-headed milk-white trumpets (producing up to four per stem). These are about 5cm across, with little cups and narrow, slightly twisted outer petals. Their strappy foliage must be left to die off for a good six weeks before being removed to allow the bulbs to continue to grow and avoid jeopardising their chance of flowering the following year.

Planting instructions: Plant from August onwards. Place the bulbs' pointed end upwards, 12cm below the surface. Position the bulbs approximately 10cm apart in a sunny or partially shaded area. Water well after planting. Keep the soil moist during dry periods, but do not overwater. If not planted immediately, store in a cool, dry place.
