    Between 15th and 19th October 2019, Highgrove will be celebrating ‘all things food’ at the first Talking Food event. A fantastic range of events, hosted by some of the UK’s most progressive chefs and food producers, will be taking place across the five days.

    If you’re a hardcore foodie, or would simply like a taste of award-winning fare, these events are for you! Share in fantastic stories from these expert guests and enjoy a delicious two-course lunch or a three-tiered champagne afternoon tea influenced by their dazzling careers.

    Angela Hartnett MBE

    One of the UK’s most loved chefs Angela Hartnett MBE has developed a passion for Italian-inspired cooking from her grandmother and mother and has gone on to be awarded an MBE for services to hospitality in 2007.

    With several kitchens under her belt, including Michelin star restaurant Murano, anything Angela doesn’t know about Italian cooking isn’t worth knowing.

    Highgrove is pleased to present a unique opportunity to hear Angela reveal 70 years of Italian food in the UK and enjoy a two-course lunch influenced by her career. Angela will be joined at this very special event by Russell Norman who is behind the Venetian-inspired chain Polpo.

    Richard Bertinet

    After training as a baker at the age of 14, there is little that Richard Bertinet doesn’t know about bread and baking. With 20 years’ experience, Richard is now supplying Waitrose nationwide as well as his own shop in Bath.

    Within his recent book “Crumb”, Richard shares his knowledge of baking including why he doesn’t knead the dough or add flour to his worktop.

    Highgrove is pleased to present a special event where visitors will share in some of Richard’s baking expertise and a taste his delicious lemon tart and brownies as part of a Champagne Afternoon Tea.

    Adam Henson (Country File)

    Well-known BBC Countryfile presenter and farmer Adam Henson has preservation in his blood. Alongside his father, Joe, he works to protect and promote the UK’s native rare breeds and raise their profile through broadcasting on a wide range of programmes for radio and TV.

    When he’s not presenting, Adam can be found running the 650-hectare Bemborough Farm and tourist attraction Cotswold Farm Park.

    Highgrove is pleased to present a journey through the rare breeds across the British Isles with the highly knowledgeable Adam Henson, alongside a deliciously indulgent Champagne Afternoon Tea.

    Jekka McVicar

    World-renowned ‘Queen of Herbs’ Jekka McVicar has been working with herbs since 1985 and has raised twelve new herbs over the years.

    When she’s not tending to her herbs, appearing on national radio, advising governments or winning 62 Royal Horticultural Society Gold Medals, Jekka has had time to write “A Pocketful of Herbs”, an A-Z guide to everything herbs.

    Highgrove is pleased to present a unique opportunity for visitors to share in her extensive knowledge and enjoy two-course lunch influenced by Jekka herself.

    Anton Mosimann OBE DL

    Over the years, legendary chef Anton Mosimann OBE DL, has not only crafted unforgettable meals for numerous celebrities, politicians and the British Royal family but also created a whole new style of cuisine and established himself as a successful businessman.

    Anton has even written his fascinating autobiography, “Life is a Circus”, which takes readers on a journey from his childhood to his golden years of cooking for the Queen and other Heads of State.

    Highgrove is pleased to present this very special event where visitors will be able to indulge in Anton’s renowned Bread and Butter Pudding and share in the stories of his incredible life.

    Raymond Blanc OBE

    Perhaps one of the best-known chefs in the UK, if not the world, Raymond Blanc OBE has a significant influence on British cuisine for decades. His dedication to seasonal and local produce has gained him scored of awards including an OBE in recognition of his service to the British food industry and a National Order of the Legion of Honour, the highest French order of merit, for his achievement in promoting French gastronomy in the UK.

    Highgrove is pleased to present an exclusive talk with Raymond about the importance of using seasonal ingredients, and enjoy a menu influenced by his philosophy.
