His Majesty King Charles III: Patron of The Campaign For Wool

The Campaign for Wool was His Majesty King Charles III’s initiative when he was The Prince of Wales in 2008. It was officially launched in 2010 to assist wool growers throughout the Commonwealth in challenging the rise of toxic synthetic fibres in fashion, interiors, and the built environment.

Over the past decade of the campaign, His Majesty The King (the then Prince of Wales), as Patron, has visited numerous regions in the UK, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa to engage with wool growers. The purpose of these visits is to explain the distinct environmental excellence and ecological benefits of wool in all its end uses.

    Highgrove Heritage Collection

Introducing three new additions to our Highgrove Heritage Collection, a collaboration between Johnstons of Elgin and Highgrove made from the finest 100% ultrafine merino wool. The colours are inspired by the Royal Gardens at Highgrove, from the honey tones of our bees to the evergreen hues found in the Stumpery.

The previously sold-out honey-toned Heritage Highgrove Scarf is now available in two limited editions, nature-inspired colours: grey and green. The exclusive collection includes a beautifully soft wool throw featuring the original heritage scarf design.

    Pure New Wool Throws

These super-soft, high-quality, pure new wool throws exude warmth and luxury. These classic-looking blankets are not just for keeping you warm and cosy around the fire on a chilly evening; they also serve as a stylish accent on your bed or settee, adding a touch of elegance to your home decor. Made in the UK by Tweedmill Textiles, they all feature fringed edging and either a herringbonehoundstooth or check weave.

    Dumfries House Tweed

The Dumfries House Tweed idea originated when His Majesty King Charles III visited several manufacturers in Hawick, Scotland. He was impressed by the variety of regimental and estate tweeds produced by Lovat Mill, the home of tweed, which led to a collaboration to create a bespoke design for His Majesty to wear exclusively. Highgrove has since adapted the design for various homewares and textiles, including a wool throwscarf, cap, and tie. All these products are made from 100% Saxony lambswool, which is resilient, warm, and incredibly soft.

Recycled Wool Throw / Picnic Rug

This stunning, one-of-a-kind wool blanket will make an exquisite and valuable addition to your home and garden and combines timeless design with environmentally friendly manufacturing. Made by Tweedmill Textiles, each throw is made from recycled soft wool yarn destined for landfill, making each unique. Renewable and long-lasting, they are perfect for summer picnics or keeping toasty during the winter and make a cosy addition to your home.
