Highgrove invites you to experience the deeply restorative practice of forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku)—a guided immersion in nature designed to calm the mind, awaken the senses, and restore well-being.

During this two-hour experience, international forest bathing expert Stefan Batorijs will gently guide you through a series of mindful, nature-based practices throughout the gardens at Highgrove, helping you slow down, engage your senses, and reconnect with the natural world meaningfully before returning to the Orchard Room to enjoy light refreshments and a relaxed Q&A, allowing time for reflection and shared insights.

Please note that this is a half-day workshop with morning and afternoon sessions available.

About forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku)

Originating in Japan, forest bathing ("Shinrin-yoku" in Japanese) is now recognised as a powerful health intervention used worldwide to support mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical vitality.

Forest bathing is a practice of immersing yourself in nature to enhance your well-being. It involves slowing down, mindfully engaging the senses, and connecting with the natural environment. Forest bathing is about being fully present in nature, allowing calming effects to restore balance and inner peace.

Through simple yet profound techniques, this practice has been shown to:

After the guided tour, you will return to enjoy light refreshments and participate in a relaxed Q&A session with Stefan, providing an opportunity for reflection and sharing insights.
