Craft Stained Glass Magic with Sarah Davis: Perfect for All Levels!

Sarah Davis, a seasoned glass artist, will guide you on this colourful and fun journey. This is your opportunity to make a hanging to adorn your home, or as a gift for someone special. The workshop caters to all levels, making it perfect for beginners eager to discover the magic of stained glass or those with some glass-working experience looking to refine their skills in this traditional craft.

Throughout the day, you'll learn to cut glass pieces in colours of your choice and join them using copper foiling methods. Sarah's expertise and hands-on guidance will enable you to bring your design to life, adding a touch of radiance to your space. There will be four options for designs, depending on abilities and preferences.

To make the most of your creative experience, please wear old clothes and covered shoes. Dive into the artistic process confidently, knowing that all materials and tools required for the workshop will be provided, allowing you to focus on honing your craft and unleashing your creative spirit.

  • 9:30am - Guests arrive and morning refreshments are served

After an immersive morning of creativity, transition to the elegant Orchard Room for a delightful two-course lunch. Surrounded by the beauty of nature and the echoes of your artistic endeavours, savour a meal that complements the day's experiences.

About Sarah Davis

Sarah has trained in stained glass at Bristol School of Art and has worked with glass for about 15 years. Sarah's work often uses various glass techniques to follow natural themes in abstract and figurative styles. Inspiration includes the natural world and the beauty of the Gloucestershire countryside, especially the Severn Valley and Cotswolds. Sarah's stained glass work includes wall mounted panels, windows and free-standing ornamental pieces (for indoor and outdoor use). Sarah exhibits across the English West Country, often as part of group exhibitions with artists working on other media. Besides being a member of the Contemporary Glass Society, Sarah is also a member of the Gallery at the Guild in Chipping Campden.

  • Admittance is 15 minutes before the time of your visit.
  • Visitors will not be admitted without a valid ticket.
  • Although guests will be dining from a set menu, if you do have any dietary requirements, food intolerances, or allergies, please inform the Customer Service team no later than 2 weeks prior to your event at events@highgrovegardens.com.
  • Please do not bring dogs onto the Estate (only assistance and guide dogs are permitted). Cars with dogs will be turned away. 
  • Tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded, or replaced. The resale, alteration, or defacing of a ticket will render it void.
  • Visitors are required to bring photographic identification (i.e., a passport, driving licence, or bus pass). Alternatively, a bank card is acceptable.
